AFCAT Eligibility Criteria
AFCAT 1, 2022 eligibility criteria for Ground Duty and Flying Branch posts are given below.
(A) AFCAT Age Limit
(i) Flying Branch: Applicants for Flying Branch should be minimum 20 years of age and maximum 24 years of age i.e. born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit is relaxable up to 26 years for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India), i.e. born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: For Ground Duty, the minimum age is 20 years and upper age limit is 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).
Note: Candidates must be unmarried below 25 years of age at the time of commencement of the course. Widows below 25 years of age and divorcees are also not eligible.
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: For Ground Duty, the minimum age is 20 years and upper age limit is 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).

(B) AFCAT Educational Qualification
Flying Branch: Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and three years degree in Graduation or BE/B.Tech degree with minimum 60% from a recognized university.
AFCAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
(i) Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) (AE(L)): Minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree in the field of Engineering and Technology from a recognized university.
AFCAT 2022 Selection Process
Indian Air Force will send call letters for the second stage of selection i.e. AFSB test to all the candidates who qualify AFCAT/EKT 2022.
AFSB test phase 1
It consists of the following two tests: Officer Intelligence Rating Test. Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP and DT)
Stage 1 is called Screening Test and candidates who do not pass it will be rejected and will not be called for AFSB Testing Stage 2.

Group Test: These tests involve mental and physical activities to test the candidates on various mental and physical parameters.
AFSB Interview: In this round, the interviewing officer conducts a personal round of interview for the candidate.
Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test: This test is mandatory only for those candidates who have applied for Flying Branch.
Medical Examination: Recommended candidates will be called for medical examination. Indian Air Force has designated only two centers for medical examination which are Aviation Medical Institute, Bengaluru and Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME). After medical examination, a final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in written and AFSB interview. All shortlisted candidates will be given joining letters of the respective training academies to which they have applied.

AFCAT 2022 Syllabus
Candidates preparing for Air Force Common Entrance Examination should start their preparation with the latest AFCAT syllabus to score good marks in the entrance exam.
Syllabus for English Section:
This section of the AFCAT exam consists of at least 20 questions and the level ranges from moderate to difficult. Questions will be asked from Comprehension, Cloze Test, Synonyms and Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases, Error Spotting.
Gk Syllabus
This section includes questions from Indian History, Polity, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and . The difficulty level of this section is easy to moderate.
Syllabus for Reasoning Section:
Questions will be asked from Series, Venn Diagram, Syllogism, Blood Relation, Non Verbal Questions, Verbal Reasoning, Military Aptitude etc.
Syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude Section:
Questions asked in Mathematics sections of AFCAT are of easy to moderate level and questions are based on Number System, HCF and LCM, Time, Distance and Speed, Time and Work, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Pipes. And cistern etc. will be asked.
AFCAT 2022 Salary
1. Cadets in the final year of training will be given a stipend of Rs. 56,100.
2. After successful completion of training, Young Air Officers will be allotted Level 10 in the pay matrix of the Seventh Central Pay Commission [56100-1,10,700]
