UPPSC Pre 2026 Notification Out Apply Online Form

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Age Limit (As on 01-07-2026)Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age. (Born between July 2, 1986, and July 1, 2005).
Age RelaxationReserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH) are eligible for age relaxation up to 45 years as per UP Government rules.
Educational QualificationA Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized university. However, specific specialized posts (like Sub Registrar, Statistical Officer, etc.) may require additional qualifications such as a degree in Law, PG, Engineering, or Agriculture.
Mandatory Requirement (OTR)Candidates MUST complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the UPPSC portal at least 72 hours before submitting the application.
UPPSC PCS 2026 Selection Process
The recruitment process for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services consists of three progressive stages:
  • Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): Consists of General Studies Paper-I and CSAT Paper-II. Negative marking (1/3rd) is applicable. CSAT is qualifying in nature (33% required).
  • Stage 2: Main Examination (Descriptive Type): Candidates who clear the Prelims will be called for the Mains exam, which includes compulsory descriptive papers and essays.
  • Stage 3: Viva-Voce (Personality Test / Interview): The final stage assesses the candidate's personality, communication skills, and suitability for the administrative roles.

  2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process and generate your OTR number (do this at least 72 hours in advance).
  3. Log in using your OTR ID to access the current live advertisements.
  4. Select the "Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2026" and click on Apply.
  5. Verify your personal details fetched from the OTR profile and fill in any additional required academic information.
  6. Upload the necessary documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph and signature, as per the specified dimensions.
