The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for the June 2027 (AT 27) Course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Unmarried eligible male and female candidates can apply online for approximately 275 tentative vacancies across Executive, Technical, and Education branches. The online application link is active from 25 June 2026 and will remain open until 27 July 2026. Aspirants who are graduates/postgraduates or in the final year of their engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks can submit their applications. | Educational Qualification Criteria |

| Executive & Technical Branches | Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech degree in relevant engineering disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. Logistics entry also accepts MBA, MCA, M.Sc (IT), B.Sc/B.Com with PG Diploma in Finance (1st Class). |
| Education Branch | M.Sc in Maths/Physics/Chemistry (with 60% marks) or BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in relevant fields (with 60% marks). |
| NCC 'C' Certificate Holders | Candidates possessing a valid NCC 'C' Certificate (minimum 'B' Grade, not dated before 01 July 2024) will receive a 5% relaxation in shortlisting cut-off marks. |
| Note: Final year students are also eligible to apply, provided they can submit their final degree proof before joining the academy. A minimum of 60% marks in English in Class 10th and 12th is mandatory for ATC/Pilot/NAOO entries. |
| Indian Navy SSC Officer Selection Process 2027 |

The selection will be based strictly on a rigorous multi-stage process:
- Shortlisting of Applications: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the normalized marks obtained in their qualifying degree (up to the 5th/7th semester).
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, testing psychological aptitude, physical fitness, and group dynamics.
- Medical Examination: SSB-recommended candidates must pass strict naval medical standards.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on SSB marks. The initial tenure of the Short Service Commission will be 12 years, extendable by 2 years depending on requirements.
