Hapur police alert after Kasganj accident: Appeal to devotees not to travel in tractor-trolley, 22 devotees died
Hapur News: A major accident took place in Kasganj district on Saturday. Where 22 devotees died in the accident. At the same time, after this incident, Hapur Police is seen in alert mode. The devotees who came to take a bath in the Ganga in the pilgrimage city Brajghat in tractor-trolleys were sent in other vehicles to the ghat and their destination, due to which no accident could occur. Actually, on Saturday morning, a tractor-trolley filled with devotees went out of control and fell into the pond on the Patiali-Daryavganj road. The tractor-trolley overturned after going into the pond. In which most of the devotees got buried. 22 people have died so far in this accident. Whereas, some devotees are injured and are undergoing treatment in the hospital. An alert was issued by the government in the entire state regarding the incident. In view of this, the devotees going to Brajghat in tractor-trolleys were sent in private vehicles.
What did SP Abhishek Verma say?
Hapur SP IPS Abhishek Verma said that the district police has been alerted after the accident. By running a campaign at the police station level, the devotees going to Brajghat to take bath in the Ganga in tractor-trolleys were stopped. To avoid any untoward incident with the devotees, they were sent in private vehicles, buses or other vehicles. Arrangements have been made to transport the devotees from the ghat to their destination.
