Hapur News: Police has turned its attention against those who drink alcohol while standing on the streets. Police have arrested more than 18 people who were spilling jam on the roads in the open. Police have taken challan action against all the accused under Section 34 and Section 290.

Actually, the police were receiving complaints about liquor being spilled on the streets of the city as evening approached and misbehavior with the passers-by. After which, on the instructions of SP Abhishek Verma, a campaign was launched against the accused who were openly drinking alcohol on the streets of Garhmukteshwar Kotwali area and creating ruckus after drinking alcohol. Garhmukteshwar Kotwali in-charge Inspector Vinod Pandey said that on the instructions of the SP, action has been taken by the police team in the city area. He said that when the police team checked the city intersections, there was an atmosphere of chaos and many people ran away driving their vehicles at high speed. At the same time, the alcoholics arrested on the spot were brought to the police station. Police have arrested 20 drunkards from different places.

As soon as it is evening, the road starts getting jammed. As soon as the evening approaches, at various intersections of the Garh including Delhi Road, Meerut Road, on carts, along the National Highway and at many places near the railway crossing, liquor jams start spilling on the road. During this time, those who consume alcohol also misbehave with people walking on the road. IPS Abhishek Kumar Verma says that this campaign will continue further. Action will be taken by running a continuous campaign against people drinking alcohol on the streets.
