On 23 July in 1927 the 1st ever radio broadcast in country went on the Air from Bombay station under a private company called the Indian Broadcasting Company
8 June 1936 the indian Broadcasting service became All India Radio (AIR)
AIR is One of the Largest Public broadcasting Organisations in the World & India's largest public broadcasting agency, Prasar Bharti.
Public Service Broadcasting Day (12 November) the 1st & only last live Visit of Mahatma Gandhi to the Studio of All india Radio Delhi in 1947.
